Last week Verizon Wireless put the new Samsung Galaxy Note II smartphone up for pre-order, unfortunately, they did not give an exact date on when the Galaxy Note II would start shipping.
Now according to the guys over at Droid Life, the Samsung Galaxy Note II is expected to be available from Verizon from the 29th of November, the details come from a leaked internal Verizon document.
Specifications and Features
The Samsung Galaxy Note II comes with the latest version of Google’s Android OS, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. This operating system brings a smoother and more responsive user experience, thanks to Project Butter, which enhances the device’s performance and touch responsiveness. The handset features a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED multi-touch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, providing vibrant colors and deep blacks, making it ideal for media consumption and gaming.
Other specifications on the Samsung Galaxy Note II include a powerful quad-core 1.6GHz Exynos processor, which ensures that the device can handle multitasking and demanding applications with ease. Users have a choice of either 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of internal storage, catering to different needs and preferences. Additionally, the device comes with a microSD card slot, allowing users to expand the storage further by up to 64GB, which is perfect for those who need extra space for apps, photos, and videos.
The Galaxy Note II also features a front-facing 1.9-megapixel camera, which is suitable for video calls and selfies, and a rear 8-megapixel camera that can capture high-quality photos and Full HD videos. The camera app includes various modes and features, such as Best Photo, Best Face, and Low Light Shot, to help users take the best possible pictures in different conditions.
Enhanced Productivity and S Pen Functionality
One of the standout features of the Samsung Galaxy Note II is its S Pen stylus, which offers enhanced functionality and precision compared to traditional touch input. The S Pen is designed to feel like a real pen, making it comfortable to use for extended periods. It is integrated with several software features that enhance productivity and creativity.
For instance, the Air View feature allows users to hover the S Pen over the screen to preview content without actually touching the display. This can be particularly useful for quickly browsing through emails, photos, or calendar events. The S Pen also supports handwriting recognition, enabling users to write notes and have them converted to text, which can be a faster and more natural way to input information.
Another notable feature is the Multi-Window functionality, which allows users to run two apps simultaneously on the screen. This can be incredibly useful for multitasking, such as browsing the web while taking notes or watching a video while chatting with friends. The Galaxy Note II’s large display makes this feature even more practical, providing ample space for both apps to be used comfortably.
The device also includes several pre-installed apps that take advantage of the S Pen, such as S Note, which allows users to create detailed notes, sketches, and diagrams. The app includes various templates and tools to help users organize their thoughts and ideas effectively.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II is a feature-packed smartphone that offers a unique combination of powerful hardware, a large and vibrant display, and innovative S Pen functionality. With its expected availability from Verizon on the 29th of November, it is set to be a popular choice for users looking for a device that can enhance both productivity and entertainment.
