REFYNE has created a new EDC pen constructed from titanium and equipped with a bolt action mechanism. The premium pen has been created to provide an everyday carry (EDC) solution for those looking for a minimalist design with reliable functionality.
The design team at REFYNE explain more about the inspiration behind the EDC pen and some of its features. “We designed the REFYNE EP1 around the Schmidt easyFLOW 9000 refill because we love the way it writes. Smooth and easy. Also, we knew that by choosing this style refill, it would allow users to swap out to literally dozens of other options because our pen works with any standard parker style refills.”
Pledges are available from $39 or £30 for the early bird stainless steel version, with worldwide delivery expected to take place during June 2019. The bolt action mechanism was implemented for simplicity and ease of deployment. “With the flick of your finger you can open or close the pen in a fraction of a second. We decided to add a subtle design element, by using copper for the internal barrel”.
