If you have been patiently waiting for the new white Philips Hue Lux light bulbs to be available to purchase via retail, after they were first unveiled by Philips earlier this year.
You might be pleased to know that the Hue Lux are now available to pre-order for $29.95 for a single bulb or as a Philips Hue Lux double pack together with the Bridge for $99.95.
The new Phillips Hue Lux light bulbs have been designed to produce a warm white light can can be dimmed to suit your mood or occasion, using a companion smartphone application called the Hue, which is available to use on Apple’s iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Phillips explains :
“Hue Lux is a snap to set up and use and the bulbs fit right into your current light fittings or luminaries. Choose a starter pack or add to it with a single bulb.
Philips Hue Lux provides a personal and interactive way to control lighting from a smart mobile device or tablet. It enables use of light in a variety of functionality such as timers, alarms, geo-fencing and soft security elements.
Wait for the three LEDs on the bridge to light up. Download the free Hue app to your iOS device and connect your device to the bridge. Find your bulbs. Name them. And start controlling your lights. You can add up to 50 bulbs to your system.”
