It looks like all existing Palm devices which include the Palm Pre, Palm Pixi, Palm Pre Plus, and Palm Pixi Plus will be getting an update to the latest version of webOS, webOS 2.0.
Josh Marinacci from HP/Palm has announced that all existing webOS devices will be getting the latest version of webOS within the next few months.

What to Expect from webOS 2.0
webOS 2.0 is expected to bring a host of new features and improvements to the Palm devices. Some of the anticipated updates include enhanced multitasking capabilities, improved notifications, and a more intuitive user interface. The update aims to make the devices more efficient and user-friendly, ensuring that users can navigate through their apps and tasks with greater ease.
One of the standout features of webOS 2.0 is the introduction of “Stacks,” which allows users to group related tasks together. This means that if you are working on multiple emails or browsing several web pages, you can stack them together for better organization. Additionally, the update is expected to bring support for Adobe Flash, which will enhance the web browsing experience by allowing users to view rich media content directly from their browsers.
Impact on Existing Palm Devices
The update to webOS 2.0 is significant for existing Palm devices as it promises to extend their usability and functionality. For instance, the Palm Pre and Palm Pixi series, which have been popular for their sleek design and user-friendly interface, will benefit greatly from the new features. Users can expect a more responsive and fluid experience, making their devices feel new again.
Moreover, the update is likely to address some of the performance issues that users have reported with the older versions of webOS. This includes faster app loading times, smoother transitions, and overall better system stability. For business users, the improved multitasking and notification system will be particularly beneficial, allowing them to manage their work more efficiently.
There are no details as yet on when the webOS 2.0 update will be available for existing Palm devices, as soon as we get some more information we will let you guys know.
