We have already seen some leaked photos of Verizon’s version of Nokia’s Lumia 820, the Nokia Lumia 822, and now it looks like the handset will land on Verizon Wireless on the 12th of November.
As well as the Nokia Lumia 822, there will also be another Windows Phone 8 smartphone available on Verizon Wireless on the 12th of November, the new HTC Windows Phone 8x.
Nokia Lumia 822: A Closer Look
The Nokia Lumia 822 is an exciting addition to Verizon’s lineup, especially for fans of the Windows Phone ecosystem. This device is expected to feature a 4.3-inch AMOLED display, providing vibrant colors and deep blacks, which is a hallmark of Nokia’s screen technology. The Lumia 822 will likely come with an 8-megapixel rear camera, equipped with Carl Zeiss optics, ensuring high-quality photos and videos. Additionally, it is rumored to have a front-facing camera for video calls and selfies.
Under the hood, the Lumia 822 is expected to be powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, paired with 1GB of RAM. This combination should provide a smooth and responsive user experience, whether you’re browsing the web, playing games, or using productivity apps. The device will also come with 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot, giving users plenty of space for their apps, photos, and music.
HTC Windows Phone 8x: Another Strong Contender
The HTC Windows Phone 8x is another highly anticipated device set to launch on Verizon Wireless on the same day as the Lumia 822. This smartphone is expected to feature a 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, offering sharp and clear visuals. The 8x will also come with an 8-megapixel rear camera, capable of recording 1080p HD video, and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens, perfect for group selfies and video calls.
The HTC 8x will be powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, similar to the Lumia 822, and will also include 1GB of RAM. However, the 8x will come with 16GB of internal storage, but it does not have a microSD card slot for expansion. This might be a consideration for users who need more storage space. The device will run on Windows Phone 8, offering a seamless and intuitive user experience with features like Live Tiles and deep integration with Microsoft services such as Office and OneDrive.
Verizon has yet to announce when the two new Windows Phone devices will land on their network, and they have also not announced any pricing information. As soon as we get some confirmation that these are the correct dates, we will let you guys know.
Both the Nokia Lumia 822 and the HTC Windows Phone 8x represent strong additions to Verizon’s smartphone lineup, catering to different segments of the market. The Lumia 822, with its expandable storage and renowned camera technology, will appeal to photography enthusiasts and power users. On the other hand, the HTC 8x, with its sleek design and high-resolution display, will attract those looking for a stylish and capable device.
