During its Nintendo Direct Conference this week Nintendo has unveiled a new larger handheld 3DS portable gaming console in the form of the Nintendo 3DS XL.
Which features a 4.88 inch stereoscopic 3D top screen and a 4.18inch bottom screen. Compared to the current 3DS which has a 3.53 inch top screen and 3.02 inch bottom screen.
Other features of the new Nintendo 3DS XL include an extended battery providing around 3.5 to 6.5 hours of gameplay on a single charge, and comes supplied with a larger 4GB SD card, and all Nintendo 3DS and DS software is compatible with the new larger console, which measures 134 x 74 x 21mm.
The larger Nintendo 3DS XL, will be arriving on July 28th, but in both Japan and Europe, it will not come with a power adapter. Which will be available to purchase separately if required, as the new Nintendo 3DS XL, will be compatible with the older 3DS charger.
Four new games will also marking the launch of the new Nintendo 3DS XL arriving on July 28th, and will be 3DS XL: Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, New Art Academy and Freaky Forms Deluxe.
