Intel has today opened preorders for its new Intel NUC mini PC which comes equipped with an Intel Core i7-8650U processor and is now available with prices starting from $710. Providing 4GB of RAM, a 128GB of solid state storage, and the option to have the system delivered with no operating system or Linux Ubuntu installed. Preorders can be made directly from the Simply NUC website via the links below, and the mini PC system is available in both a slim NUC7i7DNKE model and tall NUC7i7DNHE version depending on your storage requirements.
The slim Intel NUC mini PC is equipped with Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor with space internally to install an M.2 solid state drive. While the taller mini PC allows for both an M.2 drive and a 2.5-inch hard drive or SSD to be installed allowing for a variety of different storage configurations. All supported by up to 32GB of DDR4-2400 RAM and Intel vPro and TPM 2.0 technology is available for enterprise customers.
Features of the new NUC PC systems include 2 x HDMI 2.0 ports with support for 4K60 output, 4 x USB 3.0 ports and 7.1 channel audio. Intel has also announced that a couple more systems will be made available in the form of the NUC7i7DNFE with a fanless chassis and a NUC7i7DNBE board-only product without a chassis at all.
