The new BMW M5 was made official earlier this week and now we have a couple of videos of the car in action.
The first video is a promo video for the new BMW M5 and the second video shows this new 600 horsepower M5 on the track.
Performance and Specifications
The new BMW M5 comes with some impressive performance features. The car is equipped with a 4.4-liter V8 bi-turbo engine that produces a massive 600 horsepower and delivers 750 Nm of torque. This powerful engine allows the M5 to accelerate from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 3.4 seconds. Additionally, the car has an electronically limited top speed of 155 miles per hour, which can be increased to 189 miles per hour with the optional M Driver’s Package.
The M5 also features an advanced all-wheel-drive system known as M xDrive, which provides superior traction and handling. This system can be adjusted to different driving modes, including a rear-wheel-drive mode for those who prefer a more traditional driving experience. The car’s eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission ensures smooth and rapid gear changes, enhancing both performance and driving pleasure.
Design and Technology
The exterior design of the new BMW M5 is both aggressive and elegant, featuring aerodynamic enhancements such as larger air intakes, a rear diffuser, and a subtle rear spoiler. The car sits on 19-inch alloy wheels as standard, with the option to upgrade to 20-inch wheels for an even sportier look. The M5 also comes with adaptive LED headlights and a distinctive kidney grille that emphasizes its sporty character.
Inside, the M5 offers a luxurious and driver-focused cabin. The seats are upholstered in high-quality Merino leather and provide excellent support during spirited driving. The dashboard features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch central touchscreen display, both of which are part of BMW’s iDrive 6.0 infotainment system. This system includes navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a premium Harman Kardon sound system.
Safety and driver assistance features are also abundant in the new M5. The car comes with adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind-spot detection, and a surround-view camera system. These features not only enhance safety but also make driving the M5 more convenient and enjoyable.
The new BMW M5 is a testament to BMW’s commitment to blending high performance with luxury and advanced technology. Whether you’re on the track or cruising on the highway, the M5 delivers an exhilarating driving experience that few other cars can match.
