The first of the Netflix original TV shows aired about a year ago and is called Lilyhammer. Lilyhammer is a show about a mobster from the US who enters witness protection and moves to Lillehammer, Norway to live his life. The first season of the show saw the main character Frank “The Fixer” Tagliano go back to his criminal ways and open a night club.
Netflix has announced that the second season of the show will air on December 13. All eight episodes of the second season will be available on December 13 so you can watch the entire season in one go if you want. Not having to wait for a new episode each week is one of the best things about Netflix original shows.
The show will be available on December 13 in the USD, UK, Latin America, the Netherlands, Ireland, and Denmark. “The second season of ‘Lilyhammer’ is an amped up ride that gives us Steven Van Zandt at his glorious, baddest, best,” said Ted Sarandos, chief content officer at Netflix. “Whether you enjoyed season one or are catching it for the first time, ‘Lilyhammer’ is a mob show like no other.”
“Lilyhammer” follows former gangster Frank “The Fixer” Tagliano (Van Zandt) as he enters the federal witness protection program trading the mean streets of New York for the icy fjords of Norway, forging a new life among the locals of Lillehammer. Season two continues with Frank living under the alias of Johnny Henriksen, a successful nightclub owner and father of two. As if life couldn’t get more complicated than balancing fatherhood with running a criminal operation, everything Frank cares for is threatened when his former mob associates find out he is still alive.”
