Anyone patiently waiting for the availability of the new MINIX Neo X8 set-top box will be pleased to know that it is now available to preorder for $119.
The MINIX Neo X8 is powered by a Amlogic S802 quad-core processor supported by 2GB of RAM and sporting 8GB of storage as well as 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and the awesome XBMC media center software come preloaded on the set-top box which supports 4K Ultra HD video playback.
There is also a more expensive MINIX Neo X8s model available which offers users more storage and enhanced audio when compared to the cheaper MINIX Neo X8 set-top box.
The MINIX Neo X8s is powered by a Amlogic S802-H processor with Dolby Digital Audio and sports 16GB of built-in storage and is priced at $152. Other features of both system include 3 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x Ethernet, HDMI and S/PDIF.
