Designed by Edwin Van Ruymbeke the innovative RC creature is now available to back via Kickstarter with early bird pledges available from just €69 or roughly £59 offering a 46% discount off the recommended retail price. The project is also offering free shipping to the United States and Europe and a small €3 charge for the rest of the world. Check out the demonstration video below to learn more about the MetaFly and its flight capabilities.
“MetaFly is the result of more than 50 years of flight research and development. Starting in the 1960s, when my grandfather and father created the first mechanical flying bird, the TIM. Since a young age, I’ve proudly continued that tradition by training to be an expert aeronautical engineer and dedicating my life to learning, inventing and teaching everything about biomimetic aeronautic engineering. In 2014 I successfully crowdfunded Bionic Bird and delivered them to backers just 3 weeks later. It’s my pleasure to no continue sharing that passion with the world, with my most advanced project yet- the delightfully biomemtic MetaFly. “

We have the required technical expertise when it comes to biomimetic and aeronautic engineering. We’ve been in this business since the 1960s, and we’ve even got experience with crowdfunding campaigns, as MetaFly is our second.”
