Kyle Haines has this week launched the Make 100 Outerspace Ferrofluid Collection, making available limited edition Ferrofluid art that takes the form of alien heads, spacecraft and awesome Ferrofluid lava lamp. Watch the promotional video below to learn more about the unique Ferrofluid compound and what it is capable of when a magnet is brought in to close proximity.
If you’ve not come across Ferrofluid it is a liquid that becomes strongly magnetised in the presence of a magnetic field, creating some amazing patterns when the magnet is introduced. Ferrofluids are composed of nanoscale particles usually 10 nanometers or less constructed from a mix of magnetite, hematite or some other compound containing iron, and a liquid.
The Ferrofluid Collection is now available to backfire Kickstarter with pledges available from just $14 or £10 offering glowing Ferrofluid in a bottle to early bird backers. Those interested the first 25 Ferrofluid lava lamps are available to early adopters priced at $56 or £40 with shipping expected to take place during June 2018. More details and a full list of all available products and pledge goals jump over to the official Kickstarter campaign page by following the link below. Unfortunately shipping is only available in certain countries, but everything is explained on the campaign page.
