Blackjet Valkyrie is a new MacBook Air and Macbook Pro external storage created by the team at Atechflash to offer a 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD storage solution for your Apple MacBook offering read speeds of up to 1,000 MB/s. Launched via Kickstarter this week the project is hoping to raise $200,000 over the next 30 days and early bird pledges are available from $298 or roughly £226. If all goes well worldwide deliveries expected to take place during August 2019. The team responsible for the Blackjet Valkyrie MacBook external storage system explain a little more about its inspiration and design.
“We are developing a portable storage solution for MacBook Pro 2016-2019 and also MacBook Air 2019 users, who wish to add more storage to their laptop. The MacBook Pro/Macbook Air doesn’t allow users to upgrade their internal memory storage so they must rely on external HDD or SSD drives. The VALKYRIE can be docked to the MacBook Pro/Macbook Air without the need for USB Cables.”
If you are looking for a storage solution that connects directly to your MacBook without the need for cables then the Blackjet Valkyrie might be worth more investigation. Although there are plenty of other options on the market to easily add extra storage to your MacBook.
