Even though the One Mix 1S Yoga mini laptop comes preloaded with Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 operating system it also supports a number of different Linux distributions some of which Brad Linder has put through their paces over on the Liliputing website.
The One Mix 1S Yoga portable mini PC is available to purchase for around $440 and is equipped with a 7 inch touchscreen display providing users with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and can be used as the red mini laptop or tablet thanks to its 360° hinge. Check out the video below to learn more about the different distributions used by Brad, hich include Linux Mint 19.1, Fedora 30 and Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS.
“Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS, for example, loads with the screen orientation set to portrait and the display scaling set to 100 percent. The good news is that firing up a terminal window and typing “xrandr -o right” rotated the display 90 degrees so that everything looked fine in laptop mode. The bad news is that the One Mix 1S Yoga has a 7 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel display and with scaling set to 100 percent, you have to get your eyes pretty close to the screen to see everything — and there’s no simple way to adjust the scaling or screen resolution properly.”
