The Lightstorm Eurorack Case is an 84hp 6U enclosure designed for live performances and is constructed from frosted acrylic and installed with LED lighting. Internally the case has a 30W power supply for the modules and a separate power supply for the LEDs removing the chance of any noise travelling to the modules along the power supply.
The Lightstorm Module synthesiser uses a Teensy 3.2 micro controller that runs a custom program written in Arduino. Although users can easily reprogram it to suit their needs and requirements using the Teensyduino program. Lightstorm has launched via Kickstarter this week and is now available to back with pledges starting from $250 or £191 and worldwide delivery expected to take place during June 2019.
“When performing with the case lying flat, the ergonomic angle allows the audience to see the performer work the modules while playing comfortably. The two main pledges we have are the Lightstorm Module Package and the Lightstorm Eurorack Case Package. We are offering an Early Bird Special on both these packages for the first week of our campaign. “The Lightstorm Module aims to bring simple and comprehensive control of LED lights. The module has a port for LED output on both the front and the back that fits the standard LED 3-pin connector. The controls consist of six parameters: pattern, speed, colour, saturation, brightness and trigger. “
