If you have an iPad that you plan on taking with you to the pool, lake, or beach when the weather warms up, you should be concerned about water and sand damage. A company called Lifejacket has announced a new mountable waterproof iPad case that has built-in flotation specifically for use around water. The case promises to be completely airtight.
The case is designed to meet IPX-7 and military MIL-STD-810G specifications to protect the tablet from moisture and other contaminants. The case features a stainless steel hinge, aluminum mounting brackets, and is made from noncorrosive materials.
The case, including the aluminum mounting bracket, is available for $99.99 in black or white colors. The aluminum mounting bracket is also available separately for $39.99. The company even says that it has a waterproof power connector for USB to keep the gadget going on protecting it from the environment.Filed Under: Apple iPad, Tablet News
