LG has taken the wraps off the smartphone we have been hearing so much about over the last few week, the LG G3, which is the company’s new flagship device.
The LG G3 comes with Android 4.4 Kit Kat and a 5.5 inch Quad HD IPS display which has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels at 538 pixels per inch.
“The smartest innovation in a fast evolving smartphone market is creating harmony between advanced technology and a simplified user experience,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “LG G3 is the result of our effort to actualize that idea into a tangible product. And we are extremely pleased with the result.”
The handset is powered by a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with a clock speed of up to 2.5GHz, and the device will come with a choice of either 2GB or 3GB of RAM and a choice of storage options which included 16GB and 32GB.
The new LG flagship android smartphones features a 2.1 megapixel front facing camera and a 13 megapixel rear camera that has optical image stabilization and Laser Auto Focus, the device also comes with 4G LTE and a 3,000 mAh removable battery.
The LG G3 is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth Smart Ready (Apt-X), NFC, SlimPort, A-GPS/Glonass, USB 2.0, and the device will be available in a range of colors which include Silk White, Shine Gold, Moon Violet, Burgundy Red and Metallic Black.
We have already seen the QuickCircle case fo the LG G3, the device can be recharged wirelessly using a Qi compatible wireless charger, plus a new Bluetooth stereo headset that was developed with Harmon Kardon called the LG Tone Infinium.
LG have said that they have introduced a simplified user interface with the new LG G3, and it also comes with LG KnockCode, LG Content Lock which is designed to protect your files and a new LG Kill Switch which allows you to disable the G3 remotely.
The LG G3 will go on sale tomorrow in South Korea, and the handset will also be launched in another 170 countries around the world, LG will provide more details on when the device will land in each country closer to the release.
