Owners of a stromer-bike might be interested in a new silent charger specifically designed to bring life back to BQ-Series batteries. The charger has been launched via Kickstarter this week and designed by electronic and software engineers at Koulombus based in Muri bei Bern, Switzerland. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the Silent X-1 charger and its features.
Early bird pledges for the charger are available from £125 and delivery to certain countries is expected to start sometime around October 2019. Thanks to the design of the charger which incorporates a massive CNC milled and anodised aluminium chassis, the X-1 runs without fans and makes zero noise.
“The monitored charging process also confirms this fact. The screen displays the most important data during the charging process. Therefore your Battery charging information is always available at a glance. It also provides optimal conditions for each charging process. Leading power supply manufacturers recommend charging temperatures ranging from 10°C to 40°C. You can set these values at your discretion on the Silent X1.”
Information displayed on the panel of the Koulombus Silent X-1 charger include :
– the current battery temperature in Celsius (°C)
– the percentage (%) of the current charge capacity
– and in watt hours (Wh)
– the charging current in milliamperes (mA) and
– Athe current voltage (V)
