iPhone 8 Could Launch Later Than The iPhone 7S And 7S Plus (Rumor)

iPhone 8

Apple are holding their iPhone event next week, the company will announce three new iPhones, the iPhone 7S, the iPhone 7S Plus and the iPhone 8 with an OLED display. We had previously heard that Apple would start taking pre-orders on their iPhone 8 next Friday the 15th of September and that the handset would launch the following Friday the 22nd of September.

According to a new report by TechCrunch, the iPhone 8 will launch later than the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus. If this rumor is correct then we could possibly see the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus launching on the 22nd of September.

The rumor suggested that Apple’s delay is down to the manufacturing of the OLED displays for the new iPhone. They apparently have to be made in a different way to the way that Samsung normally makes their displays.

Whether this will delay the launch of Apple’s new iPhone 8 remains to be seen. Personally I think Apple will be doing everything they can to get the new OLED iPhone into peoples hands as soon as possible.

What I think will be more likely is that Apple will launch their new OLED iPhone some time this month, possibly on the 22nd of September, but supply of the handset will be limited at launch. This is nothing new for Apple as every time a new iPhone launches, demand is always much higher than its supply.

We will have more details about Apple’s new iPhone 8, the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus, the new 4K Apple TV and an LTE Apple Watch next week. Apple are holding their press event next Tuesday the 12th of September at their new Steve Jobs Theater in their new Apple Campus.
