Apple released their iOS 11.2.6 software update earlier this week and now we have some videos of iOS 11.2.6 vs iOS 11.2.5 to see if there are any speed improvements in this new update.
In the videos below we get to see the iOS 11.2.6 vs iOS 11.2.5 tested on the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, iPhone 7 and iPhone 8, first up is the iPhone 5S.
As we can see from the video the iPhone 5S running iOS 11.2.5 booted up faster than the iPhone running the new iOS 11.2.6 software. The apps also appear slightly faster on the iOS 11.2.5, next up is the iPhone 6.
With the iPhone 6 the handset running the iOS 11.2.5 software booted up faster than the iPhone with the new iOS 11.2.6 update, there does not appear to be any differences in the apps. Next up is Apple’s iPhone 6S.
As we can see from the video the iPhone 6S running the new iOS 11.2.6 software booted up slightly faster than the handset with iOS 11.2.5. There is not any notable difference between the two in the apps. Next is the iPhone 7.
With the iPhone 7 the handset running the older iOS 11.2.5 software booted up slightly faster, there does not appear to be any speed differences in the various apps. Finally we have the iPhone 8.
As we can see from the last video the iPhone 8 running the older iOS 11.2.5 software booted up slightly faster. There does not appear to be much difference between the two versions of iOS in the apps.
Overall there is no major difference between the two versions of iOS, the speed differences are minimal. This is as expected as the lastest release of Apple’s iOS was designed to fix a specific bug that was causing iPhones to crash.
