After being launched back in July 2019 the Kickstarter campaign for the Mirobot industrial robot arm has now passed $245,000 thanks to over 550 backers with still 12 days remaining on its campaign. The 6-axis robot arm has been designed to provide an affordable open source desktop industrial robot arm, perfect for coding, small assembly projects and more. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the Mirobot 6-axis industrial robot arm for home, school and professional use offering 0.2mm repeatability.
“Mirobot features a wide range of different swappable end effectors, including suction cup, universal ball gripper, micro servo gripper, electromagnet head, and more. By simply changing end effectors, Mirobot is capable of virtually any task. The perfect motion control algorithm of the stepper motor allows Mirobot’s movements to be stable and smooth with much less trembling compared to an RC servo robot arm.”
Features of the industrial robot arm include :
– Machine Vision – Combined with OpenMV and machine vision code, Mirobot can see and think. You can use it for shape detection, optical flow and a variety of other advanced vision tasks.
– Manoeuvre a GoPro – Mirobot can hold the GoPro or other mini cameras. You can make your own film or just capture the wonderful moments with Mirobot.
– Drawing and Writing – Utilizing our user-friendly software, Mirobot can be programmed to create beautiful handwriting and written notes. Programming writing tasks is as easy as writing on a screen.
– 3D Pen Drawing – Mirobot is perfect for artwork and crafts. It can perform assembly tasks for handworks, design, and crafts.
“Mirobot is the smallest 6-axis industrial robot arm available today. This incredible level of flexibility allows it to rotate freely on both horizontal and vertical axes and access more space than a 3 or 4-axis robot arms.”
