Huawei recently launched its new P9 smartphones and now the company is working on the successor to their Mate 8, the Huawei Mate 9.
According to a recent report the new Huawei Mate 8 will come with a new processor, the Kirin 960 which is said to be more powerful than the Kirin 955 used in the P9.
The Huawei Mate 9 will also get a number of other upgrades, the Mate 8 comes with 3GB of RAM or 4GB RAM depending on the model, there have been rumors that the new device may feature 6GB of RAM.
The cameras on the new Mate 8 will also apparently get a significant upgrade, the rear camera is said to come with a dual camera setup that will feature dual 20 megapixel cameras, the P9 which launched recently features dual 12 megapixel cameras.
The handset is expected to come with a 6 inch display like the Mate 8, although the Mate 8 has a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the new handset is expected to feature a Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
The Huawei Mate 8 comes with a choice of 32GB or 64GB of storage and it looks like the new Mate 9 will get a 128GB storage option. There are also rumors that along with the new Kirin 960 processor the handset will also feature an octa core GPU.
