The miniature version of HTC’s flagship device, HTC One Mini is now available from Rogers in Canada for C$99.99 with a two-year agreement with the carrier. The carrier is also offering the handset on a month-to-month deal for C$399.99, which is expected to go down during the holiday season.
HTC One Mini packs a 4.3-inch sporting a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with a pixel density of 342ppi and powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 1GB RAM. On the rear, the handset comes with a 4MP UltraPixel camera with 1080p video recording capabilities, the same camera that comes with HTC One but without OIS and a 1.6MP front-facing camera.
Other features include a 16GB storage (without expandable memory), 1,800 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, LTE and HSPA+ connectivity. On the software side, the handset comes with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, but it is expected to get the latest Android 4.4 KitKat in the coming months. HTC didn’t reveal any exact launch date of Android 4.4 KitKat, but mentioned that it will get the update. Let’s hope that the update rolls out in time for all major HTC handsets.
