We have been hearing a number of rumors that HTC are working on a smaller version of the HTC One M8, the device was previously thought to be called the HTC One M8 Mini, although it looks like it may end up as the HTC One Mini 2.
The news comes from @evleaks, who has said that the new smaller HTC One M8 will launch as the HTC One Mini 2, we previously heard some rumored specifications on the handset.
What we heard previously was that the HTC One Mini 2 would come with a smaller 4.5 inch display that will feature a high definition resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
The handset is rumored to be powered by a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, and will apparently come with 1.5GB of RAM.
Other rumored specifications on the device include 16GB of built in storage, plus a microSD card slot for additional storage, the handset will also come with Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat and the latest version of HTC’s custom UI, HTC Sense 6.0.
We are expecting some sort of announcement on the new HTC One Mini 2 this month, as soon as we get some more details on the device, we will let you guys know.
