We’ve seen quite a lot of rumors in the past few months about the successor of the HTC One, dubbed as HTC M8. Last month, the purported handset posed for the camera in spy shots, and we also came across some rumored specifications of the alleged HTC M8 with Snapdragon 800 on board, along with a confirmation that it will hit all major US carriers next year.
It was also revealed by @evleaks that it will come with HTC’s latest Sense 6.0, and this rumor receives another confirmation from LlabToofer, who has been a good source of information in the past when it comes to HTC-related leaks. According to the HTC ROM developer, HTC is currently testing the handset with Android 4.4.2 KitKat and Sense 6.0 UI.
The information was given when a Twitter user asked him if HTC M8 will come with Sense 5.5 or Sense 6.0 and this is what he had to say,
@DanieliGiacomo At the moment they are testing device on 4.4.2 and next version of Sense…
Other rumored specifications includes a 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 chipset and Android KitKat out of the box. There’s no word about the RAM or any other specification it could bring at the table, but we’re hoping for the latest hardware. Qualcomm already announced Snapdragon 805, and it would be good to see it become a part of HTC M8.
Keep this thing in mind that its just a rumor, despite the decent track record of the source. So, let’s just wait for more information, and as always, we’ll update you if anything pops up.
