HTC M8 is rumored to be the successor of HTC One, which is expected to make an appearance next year. The handset is expected to feature the same metal design as the HTC One, and will come with the latest HTC Sense 6.0 UI. There are no details about what the the handset will bring at the table, but thanks to the notorious @evleaks, we get to know at least some of HTC M8 specifications.
According to @evleaks, the purported HTC M8 is expected to come with the latest Snapdragon 800 chipset along with a bigger 5-inch display boasting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Additionally, the handset is expected to come with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. There are no details about the other specifications of the purported handset, but we’re hoping it should come with at least 3GB RAM as that’s expected to be the standard RAM for flagship devices.
Additionally, Snapdragon 800 might become outdated as 64-bit processors are expected to be the future. There’s a rumor going on that Qualcomm is working on the successor of Snapdragon 800, which will faster and better compared to Snapdragon 800.
Also, Samsung is also rumored to be working on the Samsung Galaxy S5, which will hit the shelves next year with 64-bit processors. So, it’s necessary for the Taiwanese OEM to introduce a smartphone that can give a decent competition to flagship handsets available in the market at launch.
HTC M8 is rumored to make an official appearance at the Mobile World Congress 2014 and will hit all major US carriers next year. Anyway, we’ll update you as soon as we have more information about the purported HTC M8.
