Honeywell has this week announced the launch of its new voice-activated smart thermostat within the UK, making it available to purchase for £229.
The new Honeywell smart thermostat joins the likes of Google’s Nest and Tado which have both also recently launched within the UK providing the countries residents with a next-generation method of managing their heating systems.
The Honeywell smart thermostat is slightly different to the other two in that it can be controlled by voice commands enabling the user to simply ask it to increase the warmth within the home. Watch the video below to learn more and see the voice control technology in action. Honeywell explains :
“As well as listening – the Voice Controlled Thermostat learns too. It adapts and optimises your home over time, to deliver just the right temperature right when you need it. It works seamlessly with your boiler to deliver efficient heating control and features a 7 day programme to schedule your heating and control your hot water.
The voice controlled thermostat will also display the weather forecast, tell you the time and date and even let you know what the out door temperature is. All you have to do is ask. Whether at home, at work or on the road, keep control over your home heating and make changes as and when you choose.”
