We have seen a number of different videos showing how construction is progressing at Apple’s Spaceship Campus and now Mathew Roberts has released a new video which you can see below.
The video was taken using a DJI Phantom 3 Professional and it shows how far on Apple is with the construction of its new HQ.
Overview of Apple’s Spaceship Campus
Apple’s new campus, often referred to as the “Spaceship Campus” due to its futuristic circular design, will have enough room for 12,000 employees and will be made up of a number of different buildings. The main building will measure an impressive 2.8 million square feet, making it one of the largest office buildings in the world. This ambitious project reflects Apple’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Under the main building, there will be a car park which can house 2,400 cars, ensuring ample parking space for employees and visitors. Additionally, the campus will feature an Apple store which measures 10,114 square feet, providing a convenient shopping experience for both employees and visitors. There will also be a cafe for visitors, offering a place to relax and enjoy refreshments.
Innovative Features and Environmental Considerations
The Spaceship Campus is not just about size; it also incorporates a range of innovative features and environmental considerations. The building is designed to be eco-friendly, with 80% of the site consisting of green space. This includes over 7,000 trees, many of which are indigenous to the area. The campus will also feature walking and cycling paths, encouraging employees to adopt healthier and more sustainable modes of transportation.
One of the most striking features of the campus is its use of renewable energy. The entire campus will be powered by 100% renewable energy, with a significant portion coming from on-site solar panels. This commitment to sustainability is in line with Apple’s broader environmental goals, which include reducing its carbon footprint and promoting the use of renewable energy across its operations.
The main building’s design also incorporates advanced ventilation systems that reduce the need for traditional heating and cooling. This is achieved through natural ventilation and radiant cooling, which help maintain a comfortable indoor environment while minimizing energy consumption.
Community Impact and Future Prospects
The construction of the Spaceship Campus has had a significant impact on the local community. The project has created thousands of construction jobs and is expected to generate additional employment opportunities once the campus is fully operational. The influx of employees and visitors to the area is also likely to boost local businesses and contribute to the overall economic growth of the region.
Moreover, the campus is expected to become a landmark in Silicon Valley, attracting tourists and tech enthusiasts from around the world. Its innovative design and sustainable features will serve as a model for future corporate campuses, setting new standards for environmental responsibility and employee well-being.
In conclusion, Apple’s Spaceship Campus is a testament to the company’s vision and commitment to innovation, sustainability, and community impact. As construction progresses, it will be exciting to see how this state-of-the-art facility transforms the landscape of Silicon Valley and sets new benchmarks for corporate campuses worldwide.
