This week Facebook has announced the roll out of a new redesign to its layout for Facebook Pages on desktop, which has been implemented by Facebook to make it even easier for users to find what they want.
Facebook has also has also tweaked the admin tools enabling Page administrators to be able to locate the tools and information they require even faster.
The key features rolled out within the Facebook Pages on desktop redesign include additions to the right-side column of your timeline which now display all your Page’s posts. Enabling all your posts to appear on your Page and via your news feed.
On the left-hand side column of your timeline Facebook has added useful information about your business, allowing customers to find what they need with ease. Information here includes a map of your businesses location, its opening hours, telephone number and of course website address, together with photos and videos to help enhance the experience for visitors.
For Facebook Pages administrators Facebook has enabled useful tools that allow you to always see what adverts are running as well as new Likes for your Facebook Page. Other admin features include unread notifications and messages, together with a new navigation options across the top of the Page, equipped with everything an admin requires to maintain the Page for their business. Facebook explains a little more :
“As we roll out the new design of Pages, we’re also opening up our new Pages to Watch feature in the Page Insights tool to all admins. Pages to Watch allows admins to create a list of Pages similar to their own and compare the performance of their Page with that of the businesses they care about.
On the “Overview” tab of Page Insights admins will see some key stats about the Pages they are watching. The “Posts” tab of Page Insights includes a feature to view the past week’s most engaging posts from the Pages you’re watching.”
