Microsoft announced at the Mobile World Congress about the launch of the Facebook Messenger on Windows Phone 8 very soon.
It seems the time has finally arrived as Facebook Messenger has made its way to the Windows Phone Store in all its glory.
While there was a built-in Facebook Messenger in the app for Windows Phone, this dedicated Facebook Messenger app provides users with many more features, and is better in terms of design and looks as well.
As with the rival platforms, its a dedicated messaging application, and allows users to have private chats and group conversations on the go. It also let people know when their messages have been read by the recipients. In addition it comes with a bunch of other features such as location sharing, see who’s using Facebook Messenger and if they are active, ability to share stickers and photos in conversations and much more.
The application is always signed in, but you can turn off notifications if you are sleeping or just need to take some time off. Last, but not the least, it also keeps your chat history safe and keeps it in sync with the web version of the messenger as well.
Head over to the Windows Phone store to grab the Facebook Messenger for your handset.
