After having a $500 million budget at its disposal to both create and market the new Destiny IP game, both its developers Bungie and publisher Activision must be happy with initial sales of their new Destiny space game.
Activision revealed last week that sales on the very first day of launch for the new Bungie created Destiny game, generated more than $500 million in revenue worldwide.
Destiny sales have also rocketed the new Destiny IP to the top of the UK charts making it the most successful IP launch ever in the UK, official figures have confirmed this week. Eurogamer explains :
“The PlayStation 4 version took a 46 per cent share of the sales (this figure includes sales of new fixed hardware bundles in both black and white). Xbox One took 36 per cent, Xbox 360 14 per cent and PlayStation 3 four per cent.”
Figures supplied by Chart-Track sales figures which do not include download copies show that the new Destiny game that wen on sale last week on Tuesday, 9th September 2014. Has shown that the new game has beaten the previous holder Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs.
