Mammoth is a new CNC router and large format milling machine designed to bring large-scale milling capabilities to all skill levels at an affordable price for your small business or home workshop. If the crowdfunding campaign is successful and manufacturing progresses smoothly shipping throughout the United States is expected to take place before the end of 2019. The development team behind the Mammoth explain more about its design, construction and specifications.

“We have foregone a rigid base platform for our machines, as this is a leading contributor to the cost of many machines currently available on the market. Instead, we elected to harness the inner-maker inside all of us and build a base using standard 2×4 lumber that is readily available at your local hardware store. This allowed us to significantly reduce the overall cost of the system, and deliver a more affordable product to you. This also affords you, the user, the opportunity to build the platform as large or small as you want along the Y-Axis. We found this route to be most useful as well when it came time to break down the system to store in the corner of a shop, or when it is moved to a new location. “
“The Control Pendant lets you have complete freedom while setting up your machine, and running your cut jobs, all on it’s vibrant 5″ touchscreen. Our Pendant accepts standard gCode, allowing you to use your preferred CAM software for all of your post processing. Running your job is accomplished by saving your files onto the Control Pendant’s SD card. You can scroll through all of the jobs on the SD card, and select which one to run. Setting up the work space is all done through the Control Pendant in less than 5 minutes. “
