BlackBerry recently launched their first BlackBerry 10 smartphone in the UK, the BlackBerry Z10, and from what we have heard the handset is off to a good start, with strong sales of the device being reported.
The BlackBerry Z10 will launch in the US in March, and RIM also have another BlackBerry 10 device to launch in the US, the BlackBerry Q10, although it looks like US BlackBerry fans will have to wait until quarter to of 2013 to see the QWERTY BlackBerry Q10.
BlackBerry’s CEO Tjorsten Heins recently announced that the BlackBerry Q10 isn’t likely to ship in the US until around 10 weeks after the launch of the Z10, which means some time in quarter two.
The BlackBerry Q10 is powered by RIM’s new BlackBerry 10 OS, and it features a dual core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built in storage, there is alsoa 3.1 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 720 pixels and a QWERTY keyboard.
Other specifications on the BlackBerry Q10 include the same cameras as on the BlackBerry Z10, up front there is a 2 megapixel camera with 3x digital zoom and the ability to record HD video in 720p, on the back of the device is an 8 megapixel camera with auto-focus, 5x digital zoom and full HD video recording in 1080p.
As soon as we get some details on exactly when both of these new BlackBerry 10 devices will be available in the US we will let you guys know, as yet BlackBerry has yet to give a specific launch date in March for the Z10.
