A new bike seat called SeatyGo has launched via Kickstarter this month offering an easily detachable bike seat for cyclists to ensure your saddle always remain safe and dry, as well as providing a little extra security. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the patented “ground-breaking bike saddle” which is available to back via Kickstarter with earlybird pledges available from $65.
“With SeatyGo the saddle rails and saddle platform are separated thanks to a groundbreaking patented concept. Its unique configuration allows cyclists to easily detach their saddle from the rails and take it on the go, ensuring their saddle always stays safe and dry.”
If everything progresses smoothly and the Kickstarter campaign is a success SeatyGo will start shipping out to backers sometime around January 2020. The design team responsible for creating SeatyGo explain a little more about its inspiration, design and features.
“Every cyclist knows how it feels when you come back to your bike, ready to hop on and ride, but instead of quickly heading off to your destination you are left frustrated because your seat is wet, or in the worst-case scenario, stolen. In order to keep their bike seat safe, cyclists typically remove the seat post and take it on the go or leave their seat locked in an improvised manner. On rainy days, many cyclists use saddle covers, plastic bags, shower caps or basically anything that will keep the seat dry. All of these options are partial and incomplete, leaving cyclists without a convenient and practical solution to secure their saddle from theft while also keeping it dry and protected from weather damages. SeatyGo puts an end to all of this in a simple and user-friendly manner.”
