Surfers and beach goers looking for a convenient way to wash off the sand and salt after a days play, may be interested in the new BeachBox, a portable shower created by surfer Eron Broughton. Launched via Kickstarter this week the BeachBox provides a portable shower and wetsuit storage box that allows you to freshen up quickly and efficiently without the need to rely on third-party showers. Eron explains a little more about the inspiration behind the BeachBox.
“As a working professional who needed to get cleaned up and into the office quickly after early morning surf sessions, I was searching for a solution to keep my gear tidy, while keeping myself tidy, too. I found beach showers to be either non-existent, broken, too crowded, or nowhere near where I parked my car. At times they’d also be shut down due to water restrictions. Even after rinsing my feet off at a beach shower, I’d still have to trek to my car which only got my feet dirty and sandy again. Then I’d still have to pull my wetsuit off in the roadside dirt and mud. “
BeachBox is now available to back via Kickstarter with earlybird pledges available from £122 or roughly $160 offering a 30% discount off the recommended retail price. If all goes well worldwide shipping is expected to take place during August 2019.
“A completely customisable solution for your daily needs, and designed to get you — and your family — in and out of the water quicker and cleaner. It’s packed with handy features. Underneath our signature non-slip changing lid is a designated section for your dry gear, mini storage tubs (perfect for wax, sunblock, fin key, fishing gear, etc.), divider slides, a shower wand holder, and a drainage plug.”
