Pact Plate is a new reconfigurable, modular base plate system designed to remove the need to mount your projects on plywood. Offering a rigid and strong foundation for a wide variety of different projects of any size or shape. Watch the demonstration video below to learn how the Pact Plate boards can be combined to create a wide variety of applications.
Created by Grass Roots Manufacturing, the Pact Plate modular system has launched via Kickstarter this month and is now available to back with earlybird pledges available from $20 or roughly £17. “While there are many different modular bolt-together building systems to help create your hardware projects, there really aren’t any good options when it comes to simply mounting things on a rigid flat surface. You always seem to have to custom fabricate a surface, and usually end up using a flimsy and cheap board material that can’t be used again on another project. So, if there are so many easily reconfigurable modular framing systems, why isn’t there a modular and reusable solution for the base plate, or the foundation of your hardware projects? The answer is Pact Plate!”
Features of the plates include :
– 36 Individual M4 Threaded Holes – Use widely available M4 machine screws and bolts to attach things to the plate form either side. Holes are spaced 25.0mm apart [~1in].
– 4 Individual Recessed Holes – M4 sized Recessed holes near the corners of the plate so Pact Plate can be mounted to any material, and then the mounting screw head will not interfere with the top surface.
– Very Strong and Stiff Plastic Alloy – Pact Plate is made of a special plastic alloy widely used in the automotive industry to replace die cast aluminium. This tough and robust material gives Pact Plate similar material properties to die cast aluminium.
