Archos first unveiled their new Archos TV Connect Android set-top box back in January of this year during CES and now 6 months later the device has finally arrived on store shelves, albeit just in Europe at the moment.
The new Archos TV Connect Android set-top box is priced at €150 and is powered by a 1.5 GHz TI OMAP 4470 dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor supported by 1GB of RAM together with 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded by the use of the included microSD card slot up to a maximum of 32GB.
Archos have equipped their new set-top box with a front facing camera together with a built-in microphone that allows you to make video and voice calls via the Internet using VoIP services such as Skype and the like.
The Archos TV Connect Android set-top also comes with a handy remote control which is equipped with a D-pad and gaming controls at the top and a full QWERTY keyboard underneath. In the video below you can see a quick overview of the new Archos TV Connect set-top box.
