Apple is about to make some changes to the way it lets you update your iTunes payment details on older devices.
From the 30th of June you will no loner be able to update your iTunes payment details on some versions of Apple’s iOS, macOS and their Apple TV software.
This is because of some new security features that Apple are introducing to payments, you can see what Apple has to say about it below.
On June 30, 2018, Apple will implement changes to continue to ensure your financial data is protected when you make purchases on the iTunes Store or App Store. As a result of the changes, you will no longer be able to change your Apple ID payment information from devices using the following versions of Apple
Apple has said that this will affect devices that are running iOS 4.3.5 or lower , macOS 10.8.5 or lower and the Apple TV software 4.4.4 or lower. The company is recommending that you update your devices to the latest software.
