We recently heard that the new 4K Apple TV will be made official at Apple’s iPhone 8 press event next month. Apple’s iPhone 8 event is expected to take place on the 12th of September.
According to a recent report, Apple is looking to charge around $20 for 4K movies in its iTunes store for the Apple TV.
The movie studios are apparently looking for Apple to charge more and want between $25 and $30 per movie. Apple is apparently trying to get the movie studios to agree to its pricing before their press event on the 12th of September.
It will be interesting to see if Apple can convince the movie studios to accept the lower pricing for the 4K movies for the Apple TV.
Apple is also said to be discussing the release of movies to iTunes very soon after they have debuted in the cinema. Some movies could appear in iTunes are early as a few weeks after their cinema release, although these may be expensive and cost around $50. Other movies could be made available four to six weeks after release and may cost around $30.
