Over the weekend an issue with the Daylight Saving Time change on iOS 7 devices was discovered over the weekend which caused an error in the calendar app within the new Apple iOS 7 operating system.
Luckily the Apple iOS 7 Daylight Saving Time change issue didn’t effect scheduled alarms or calendar events, all of which were adjusted correctly by the change over.
It’s not the first time that Apple iOS mobile operating system has caused issues for users during a daylight saving time changeover. Back in 2010 Apple iOS 4 caused an issue that didn’t update the alarm schedules when Daylight Saving Time ended causing some European user to wake up late or miss appointments entirely. Another issues back in 2011 caused when the calendar tick over to January 1, 2011 disabled alarms. Both of which have now been fixed.
Apple rolled out it new Apple iOS 7 mobile operating system earlier this year in preparation for the launch of their new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C smartphones. Apple also recently rolled out a new update to their iOS devices, in the form of the iOS 7.0.3 update, which was created to fix the various sensor issues that a number of users have experienced with their new iPhone 5S smartphones.
