Last week Amazon accidentally made its Amazon Echo Dot available for free on its website. As you can imagine, quite a few people ordered the device for free.
Now Amazon has announced that it will be cancelling all of the free orders for their Echo Dot, although there is some good news as the company will give everyone who ordered the device a $5 promotional credit.
It looks like some people who ordered the device for free actually received the device, although it is not clear as yet on how many people were sent the Echo Dot for free.
The Amazon Echo do it the cheapest version of Amazon’s Alexa enabled devices and it retails for $49.99 in the US.
