Earlier today we saw a video of the iPhone 6 vs iPhone 5S, the video showed the existing iPhone 5S compared to a mockup of the 4.7 inch version of the iPhone 6.
The 4.7 inch iPhone 6 is expected to launch in September of this year, Apple will also launch a larger version of the device later in the year which is rumored to come with either a 5.5 inch or a 5.7 inch display.
According to a recent report, the larger iPhone 6 will be available in limited quantities, and the handset will apparently be more expensive, due to the sapphire glass that is rumored for the display.
The news comes from the Chinese media, who have apparently said that Apple will produce just 10 million handsets of the larger iPhone 6 throughout the devices life cycle.
The sapphire display for the 5.5 inch iPhone 6 is apparently pretty expensive, the cost of the panel is said to be somewhere in the region of $280, this means the final price of the handset would be considerably higher than the current iPhone models available.
Apple are expected to use sapphire glass on their Apple iWatch, and considering the high cost of the material, the company could decide not to use sapphire glass on the iPhone 6.
We are expecting the 4.7 inch iPhone 6 to be made official at an Apple special event some time in September, and suspect the device will launch at the end of September or the start of October.
The iPhone 5S has been replaced by the iPhone SE, have a look at our comparison of the iPhone 5S vs iPhone SE.
