Chevrolet has rolled out a new concept truck in Texas, one of the largest markets for trucks in the country, during the State Fair of Texas this week. The new concept truck is the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado Sport concept and it’s a version of the Colorado with special wheels and lots of accessories. The concept is much like any of the other Colorado trucks with the main difference being the wheels.
At the heart of the concept truck, and available on all 2015 Colorado vehicles, is the GearOn Accessory System. This is a slick accessory system that allows owners to attach things like bikes or kayaks to rails above the bed so the bed can still be packed with other gear for a trip. The 2015 Colorado will be offered in extended cab or crew cab models with q 2.5L 4-cylinder or a 3.6L V6 engine.
Base price for the Colorado will be $20,995 for the extended cab 4-cylinder version. Accessories available for the GearOn system include assist steps, cargo rings and more. The unique wheels on the concept truck are being evaluated for production by Chevrolet. When properly equipped, the 6-cylinder Colorado can tow 7000 pounds.
