Developer and makers that enjoy building devices using the Arduino platform are sure to enjoy this DIY Google Glass eyewear system that has been created by 13 year old Clay Haight.
Clay bought his first Arduino Uno development board at age 10 and has since then acquired a Mega, the Esplora, the Mini, the Ardweeny, the Mintduino and even built his very own Ardunio supported devices.
As well as building a Printrbot Simple and using it on a regular basis to 3D printers projects the young hardware engineer has also created his very own Google glass inspired Arduino powered eyewear, which you can see in more detail in the video below.
The DIY Google Glass is capable of recognising voice commands to display this calendar and schedule on the small LCD display as well as using sensors on the Arduino Esplora. He explains :
“Now they are extremely comfortable,”-“In fact I wear them around my house and tell my parents the temperature just for fun!”
I am sure it won’t belong before this maker is creating a range of devices that are set to revolutionise our future. For more information on the DIY Google Glass created by Clay Haight jump over to the MAKE website for details.
