Hitachi 2TB SimpleDrive

Hitachi has launched a new range of SimpleDrive external hard drives, which now come in sizes up to 2TB.

The new Hitachi SimpleDrive’s features a Turbo USB 2.0 interface which is reported to be 25% faster than traditional USB 2.0, and it is compatible with both PCs and Mac.

Worlds Smallest 16GB Flash Drive

Wink claims it has created the worlds smallest 16GB flash drive (as of Nov 2009). The Active Media Wink flash drive measures only 0.1 inches thick  and is available in  2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB sizes. With a  sealed protective case the drive is also waterproof.

Microsoft have confirmed there is a Vulnerability in their Windows 7 which is related to the Microsoft built network file and printer sharing protocol. This Windows 7 Vulnerability allows hackers to crash the Windows 7 system through the use of  denial of service attacks.

3D Optical Film

3M has developed an optical film which allows them to create 3D LCD panels that can be viewed without the need for 3D glasses.

The optical film has lenses on one side and a prism structure on the rear to reflect the images and create the 3D effect.
