Shenzen Witstech A81 MID

Shenzen the Chinese manufacturer has just launched a new MID called the Witstech A81 MID which is  powered by a 600MHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU and will run Windows CE 6.0 operation system.

It also has a  7-inch WVGA touchscreen display with a 800 x 480 resolution and comes equipped with 2GB of internal memory.

Samsung LCD 55inch 3D Screen

At the IMID 2009 in Seoul Samsung are showcasing their new monster sized display a  55inch LCD 3D Screen. This huge 3D screen has a 1080p resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate which helps eliminate ghosting is fast scenes. Compared to the usually used 120Hz for 3D content viewing.

The World’s Smallest R2-D2

What we have here is probably the world’s smallest R2-D2, standing just 6cm small, this fun R2-D2 robot is a 1:18 scale model, and it was made by Rob Meyer.

This tiny R2-D2 works on three Solarbotics GM15 pager gear motors, check out the video of him in action below, where you can see him moving about.
