Activision Blizzard has announced that the latest installment in the World Of Warcraft series, Cataclysm has sold a massive 4.7 million copies in the first month, since it went on sale from the 7th of December 2010.
World Of Warcraft Cataclysm managed to sell a massive 3.3 million copies of the game in the first 24 hours after its release, and it is now the fastest selling PC game of all time.
“We created thousands of new quests, introduced new lands to explore, and extensively revamped the game world for ‘World of Warcraft: Cataclysm,’ making it our biggest and most ambitious expansion yet,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment, in a statement.
Activision Blizzard now has a total of 12 million users for its World Of Warcraft game, this is up over a million subscribers since October 2010.
