Motorcyclists searching for an easy way to clear their visor in the rain may be interested in Wipey, a small electric wiper that can be attached to your helmet and triggered thanks to a Bluetooth button from your handlebars. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the WiPEY miniature electric wiper which has launched via Kickstarter this week to raise the required $20,000 needed to make the jump into production.
“Every bikers dream is a warm sunny day and an open road ahead with no worries on mind. But sometimes you just can’t avoid from riding a motorcycle in the rain for example; if you are on the way to your work, on your Sunday trip or maybe if you are a pizza delivery guy, if you travel a lot with your bike or scooter, if you are a motorbike courier or motorbike paramedic… In heavy rain, rider can’t see the traffic clearly. At night the situation gets even worse. Riding a motorcycle in the rain in not fun.”
“Sure, there are already some products on the market, such as the finger wiper, special coatings for helmet visor, but WiPEY took it to the next level. A Mini Wiper for your Motorcycle helmet. It will make your rainy ride SAFER and even FUN. It is a clever wearable safety gadget where we achieved an impossible ratio between consumption, speed, efficiency, and size nonetheless (the weight with the battery is only 55 grams).”
Early bird pledges are available from $89 or roughly £70 and worldwide deliveries expected to take place during October 2019.
