The Samsung Galaxy S9 is rumored to share a very similar design to the Samsung Galaxy S8. The handsets are said to use the same size displays and only have some minor design tweaks over the existing handsets.
Benjamin Geskin has released some concept images of what the new Samsung Galaxy S9 may look like. The design is sightly different than that of the Galaxy S8. As we can see there is almost no bezel at the bottom of the display and a larger one at the top of the handset.
We have heard a number of rumors about the hardware for the new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus, the two handsets will be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. Samsung are said to have an exclusive on this at launch.
There will also be other versions of the handset with Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 mobile processor. The device is expected to come with at least 6GB of RAM although it could end up with 8GB. Samsung are also apparently working to improve the facial recognition on the handset.
We recently heard a rumor that Samsung would introduce their new Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus smartphones at a press event at Mobile World Congress in February. This is earlier than normal and Samsung also normally announces these handsets at their own event. We have also heard rumors of a third version of the handset, the Galaxy S9 Mini, although this could launch at a later date.
