Arduino programmers, makers and developers that are looking for a small Arduino Programmer device might be interested in the VisiPort2.
The VisiPort2 is a USB To Serial module that has been specifically designed to program Arduino’s and is perfect for any bread board say its creators. Watch the video after the jump to learn more about the VisiPort2 project and see it in action.
The VisiPort2 is compatible with 5V or 3.3V Arduinos and the VisiPort2 can power your board up to 280 mAs at 3.3V or 480 mAs at 5V and is equipped with a jumper selectable DTR or RTS reset. Its creators Earth People Technology based in Santa Monica, California explain:
“ VisiPort2 is designed to program Arduinos. Its six pin female header connects easily to a Mini Pro with no bread board needed. It has one green LED that indicates power is applied to the FTDI chip. There are two amber LEDs to indicate when Tx and Rx are active.
The VisiPort2 is a USB To Serial Adapter Module that is compact in size and programs any Arduino. Its small size allows it to fit into bread board applications where other programmers are too big and bulky.”
The VisiPort2 project is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website, so if you think VisiPort2 is something your Arduino programming could benefit from, visit the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge and help VisiPort2 become a reality.
